For my birthday; even though it's been three days since, my fiance took Trina and me out to the Old Spaghetti Factory. I LOVE spaghetti and if I had to pick a food to eat for the rest of my life, it would have to be spaghetti. I have never been there before and enjoyed it well even though the whole missing a gallbladder kicked in for a bit.
Anyways, we went to the one hidden in Downtown Tacoma and I fell in love with their setting! I felt like a complete tourist but I really wanted to take a picture only to realize that the battery on my digi had died.. IT'S THE FIRST TIME EVER!! I always carry it fully charged but my forgetful head completely forgot about it.
So after enjoying an awesome lunch, we went to his house so that he could clean up a bit. He was organizing things to throw out and I came across three vintage dresses that I immediately fell in love with. I felt uncomfortable at first because it could have either been his Mother's or Sister's, but he would have thrown them out! I HAD to cuddle them in my arms home and so I did. I should write his sister Fe right after this but I really don't know how to put it. Afterall, I didn't ask!! But if she wants them back, I'd be more than willing to return them to her.. but until then, they're hanging in my closet. :)
Anyways, I put on a dress, twirled a little in front of the mirror, put on another dress on top of that, twirled, and the third over the second. It was quite cozy having three dresses on and I felt so polite due to the fact that the dresses came down to my ankles, so I played my part and wouldn't allow my fiance to kiss me. lol-
So, as I was enjoying my pretty dresses and the twirl-abouts, I took out my digi-cam to take a photo. Bam! It hit me again, DEAD BATTERY!
Some of you who are reading this are probably thinking, "it's just a cam", or "you can always take a picture later..", but you don't understand how lost I feel without my cam to capture every memorable moment of my day! Now you shut it.
Okay, in all honestly my day was awesome. I came home with three pretty dresses and a few of his belts that he wore when he was a kid. But having a dead camera totally stomped on my spirit.
Oh! I also finished my first roll of the Diana!!! Someone asked me earlier what the Diana was. :D It's very much like the Holga. The Holga is actually considered to be the successor of the Diana (according to wikipedia). Diana however is the first of it's kind. I haven't tried a Holga yet, but please do let me know how it is. I love experimenting with things that has been long forgotten so do let me know how the Holga is! Or, if anyone has a link to a collection of photos taken by the Holga, the better. :) Thank you!!
Anyways, as soon as I had finished my roll of film, I wound the film and popped it open to secure it in my purse. Our waitress stopped by our table and thought it was cool to see a camera that still uses film. ;p I felt so proud of my little toy camera and explained to her the wonders of the plastic camera. :) She later sang me a happy birthday song. lol- My very first happy birthday song at a restaurant! Awww!!
